Life at Language School

We thought we would share with you a little bit about life in Morogoro

Breakfast is at 7:00 followed by a devotional at 7:45.  8:00 Swahili lessons start.  For an hour and a half we are in class with Mama Josephine or Mama Nancy instructing us.

After that we go outside to work on drills until 10:00 which is tea time.  At 10:30 we’re back in class for another hour or so.  It depends on how well we grasp the lesson and then back outside for more drills.  Our afternoon break is from 12:00-2:30.  From 2:30-4:00 we are outside doing drills in groups of 2-3 with teachers.   6:00 is dinner time.

For Trey he goes to kindergarten from 7:45-12:00.  In the afternoons the teachers watch the children while we complete classes.  Trey’s kindergarten is taught in Swahili so its been difficult for the children to concentrate, but they are doing well.

We hope this gives you a little taste of life here in Morogoro.
